High jitter level, what's the cause?
I got the Ooma Hub VOIP. Sound not as good as expected for the first few weeks, then one day it was so bad people on the other end told me to call back on a better phone. Ooma support helped me trouble shoot this and found out the jitter level on my Internet is 11ms, which is too high. They told me to contact my ISP to work on making it go to 5ms or less. So I contacted Roadrunner, but when they found out I'm only using their cable modem and a wireless router purchased elsewhere, they said to contact my wireless router vendor to work out the issue. Some how I get the feeling they are just passing me off. So is it possible that the jitter is not caused by my ISP Roadrunner, and caused by my wireless router? How do I narrow down the problem?
