Money’s tight, times are hard. We’ve all been there at one time or another. Ends just don’t meet. You need a quick infusion of cash. Here are some easy money making ideas to put a few extra dollars in you pocket.
Fill a room or your garage with all the things you own that you don’t use or can do without. If you don’t already have a digital camera, borrow one and start photographing your things for sale on craigslist or eBay. Don’t overlook items you can replace later that are just gathering dust. The more you have to sell, the more chances you have to bring in some money.
You can also offer this as a service for others in your area. Post flyers around town noting how successful your auctions have been, include some photographs and your email address/contact info. You can either list each product for a fee or take a percentage of the selling price.
If you have ever written anything in your life, even if it was a book report in grade school, dust off your wordsmithing skills and write. Short articles (350 words or so) on a popular or timely subject can earn you up to $20 at a site like associatedcontent.com. If you have the time, it’s possible to write up to fifteen articles in an afternoon. You can then use them as the basis of a blog or website.
Money making websites these days sell for 10 times what the earn in a month. Keep that in mind if you want to sell a site you make. If you don’t get your own domain, you can’t sell it (technically, Google owns every blogger.com site, so, you can’t sell it to someone else, because its not yours).
I know that for some people, even the cost of a domain name and hosting is too much right now, they need every dime they can hold on to. If that’s the case use a free online site. I recommend Squidoo.com (because they are one of the only free sites that allows you to sell yours to someone else) and blogger.com (because they allow you to have your own AdSense account on it). Use the articles that you were previously paid for as the starting point for your sites.
Re-write your articles with a new introduction and conclusion. Reword the middle paragraphs a bit and submit them to free article directories with links back to your free blogs where you have your affiliate links and advertising. Use social bookmarking and networking to create more links and traffic.
It doesn’t take a lot of work to set up a few simple websites and use free traffic generating methods to get visitors who will click on ads or buy products from your site. Use the resources quoted above and get started. Just be very wary of any sales pitch that promises you riches overnight. Those ‘programs’ usually only make the owner richer and you poorer.
