With a Hosted VoIP PBX companies get full use of a PBX without the costly expense of equipment, upgrades and maintenance. Small businesses can have the appearance of a large centralized business with a Hosted PBX by utilizing the span of features available.</p>
<p>2. No need to purchase<span id="more-311"></span> new equipment or lose your investment in your current legacy system. VoIP providers over the course of time have spent so much in product development of their Hosted VoIP Solution that many of them are not offering SIP Trunking and many businesses do not realize the benefits of SIP trunking. SIP trunking allows businesses to keep their existing analog PBX and telephones.</p>
<p>3. Lower Monthly Recurring Charges. Bundling voice and data on to one network provides one solution, one bill and one provider. Unlike conventional legacy phone system that is hardware based and are expensive to make changes and require costly equipment purchases to expand calling capacity.</p>
<p>6. Streamline Communications. With VoIP companies can take advantage of simple 3 digit transfer to any supported property or office. No matter if one office is in Boca Raton and the other office is in New York the call is transferred as if they were in the same building. Furthermore businesses can consolidate call answering from a central location too. Eliminate the need and responsibility of every office location having to manage their incoming calls with centralized call answering.</p>
<p>7. Disaster Proof a hosted PBX phone system coupled with an IP telephone is disaster proof. Companies lost several thousand dollars because of the loss of communication during and after the hurricanes. <p>8. QOS stands for “Quality of Service” gone are the days of dropped unclear calls. The system automatically ensures that the VoIP call has the bandwidth needed allocated from point to point before the conversation takes place. The second is prioritization: Here, the end point suggests a priority on the packets and each router decides if it will honor this request or not. Voice will always take a priority over data. A hybrid solution furthermore distributes the bandwidth that on a traditional system is not dynamic or flexible.</p>
<p>10. Multi Layered Security Unlike traditional service VoIP attacks are prevented because of the multitude of layers and encryptions placed within the provider’s networks. The layered security approach not only prevents attacks, but the probability that if broached it will meaningfully reduce the probability that the attack succeeds.</p>

<p>I&#8217;m looking to replace my current, very old business phone system with a new model.  I have tried to research for the systems offering the most features but am having a tough time figuring out which systems, if any, provide the features I need.</p>
<p>Specifically, I need a system with auto-attendant that can be configured to ring phones in a specific<span id="more-307"></span> order based on the callers choices.  (ie. for sales, system hunts in order of 1,2,3 but for service, system hunts in order of 3,2,1)  In other words, I have personel who are very good at sales but can also do customer service and also have personel who are very good at customer service but can also do sales.  I want to route calls to the best people without having to dedicate any individual exclusively to one department.</p>
<p>I also want the auto-attendant to have the capability to transfer to outside phone numbers.</p>
<p>Lastly, I also need voice-mail capability and night attendant.</p>
<p>I&#8217;m aware that many do these things, but which is the best?</p>

<p>I have a small buisness and over the years have a rigged up hone syetem that is surely costly and inefficient.  Want to explore new options:  One main line with a greeting message and ability to transfer to a maximum of five office lines.  One fax.  Need to transfer between lines.  I have seen the VOIP lines and they look super.  Does anyone have a suggestion<span id="more-303"></span> for a flexible system that can be managed by a small business owner with moderate computer skills.  Thank you!</p>

<p>A VOIP, or voice over the internet protocol is a general term for a family of transmission technologies for delivery of diverse kinds of voice communications over internet protocol networks like the internet or other packet switched networks. </p>
<p>But how can we make use of these numbers if we are a subscriber of a VOIP service? There are a number of VOIP subscribers not only in the US but in other different countries as well. A major development on the use of VOIP started in 2004 because of broadband internet connections wherein subscribers make and receive calls as they would over the public switched telephone networks. </p>
<p>But as subscribers, are you acquainted with the fact that if you have this service you can in reality get your own toll free number? If you have one, anyone in the entire US can in reality call you for free. If you are a business owner and you want to get a toll free number of your own, then you can absolutely increase your sales because your customers can call you with convenience.</p>
<p>What happens is that the owner of the number pays an exact fee to their service provider every month. It in fact comes with a specific number of free minutes for a month as well just like a post paid plan subscription from a mobile phone company.</p>

<p>I&#8217;m sure you&#8217;ve seen the cellular phone commercial, two customers are on cell phones and one says, “Can you hear me now?” takes a step back and repeats, “Can you hear me now?”</p>
<p>While commercials like that make us laugh, the truth is that as telecommunications expand and include many different options, we must make sure that we are<span id="more-269"></span> not exchanging flexibility for sound quality.</p>
<p>Today&#8217;s telecommunication choices have expanded and continue to progress.  We have moved from the standard telephone to the pager or beeper (which has become virtually obsolete) to the cell phone, and now that the world is going wireless, VoIP and VoWiFi are on the rise.</p>
<p>Computer technology has explored every aspect of audio and video capabilities discovering mpegs and Codecs.  When it comes to VoIP and communication you can take some steps to make sure that you are obtaining the utmost in audio and voice quality.</p>
<p>VoIP stands for Voice over Internet Protocol, and is the application of transferring audio as data packets over the Internet and to a receiving computer or VoIP enabled device.</p>
<p>You can use three different types of methods to communicate with VoIP.  First, you can use your computer with an attached microphone and speakers.  You also have the option of using a standard telephone, by connecting it to your broadband modem and your telephone.</p>
<p>You can also use a VoIP enabled telephone.  Audio Codecs are used to transfer the audio sound into the data packet before it is sent over the Internet.  Some voice Codecs are also referred to as Voice Coders or Voice Encoders.</p>
<p>There are a few commonly used Codecs for VoIP.  These are G.711, G.729, and ITU-T.  There are certain programs that you can use to check your bandwidth and help with any audio quality issues that you may be having.  You can also upgrade to a higher audio codec, such as the G. 729 and see if that makes a difference.</p>
<p>Generally speaking, most people are amazed by the quality of VoIP.  Audio issues are usually mild and simple to solve.  Just upgrading Codecs can make a big difference.  We can expect that the future of VoIP telephony will increase and as it does, preparations will be made to ensure that only the highest quality will ultimately be produced.</p>
<p>Some phones are now hybrids: half VoIP or VoWiFi and Cellular.  For these phones audio quality is being looked at as an important factor in the design of the phone.</p>
<p>Major corporations are now taking an interest in designing VoWi Fi telephones.  We can be sure that these large companies aren&#8217;t going to skimp on audio quality.</p>
<p>For certain, there are some properties that can&#8217;t be changed, such as using a wireless VoIP phone in a place with bad reception.  But for the overall product, voice quality is a priority when designing telephony equipment.  With so many companies taking an interest in VoIP, even Verizon has come out with their branded VoIP services, we can believe that in the next five years products will burst on the scene with many more enhanced features.  Since VoIP utilizes the Internet, one can only imagine what type of futuristic VoIP phones will soon beset us.</p>
<p>While VoWiFi phones will only work outside in hotspot zones, you can rest assured that the quality of your VoWiFi phone will be exceptional when you are in “the zone”.</p>
<p>Telecommunications are advancing every day, and more people are relying on the Internet for their audio and video communications.  Instant messaging programs are embracing VoIP with open arms, and the everyday consumer is experiencing the power of integrated video, data, and audio.  By using a simple web cam, microphone, and speakers, people are enjoying the freedom that is offered solely by VoIP.</p>
<p>Users are learning that microphones, audio Codecs, and high-speed Internet connections can transmit in real time, and give a crystal clear sound.  Of course, one of the main components in high quality audio telecommunications is to have up to date equipment.</p>
<p>You need to begin with a good soundboard on your computer, before you can expect high quality audio from your computer&#8217;s speakers.  With the new millennium and its new telecommunications we can finally answer the question and say, “Yes, I can hear you.”</p>
