How to transfer a land line phone number out of the “area”?
I need major help and suggestions.
I am moving from Down town St Louis to the west county which is part of St Louis but has a different area code. I office out of my home and have my home line as a business line, all my clients and all my marketing is done with this phone number listed as my contact numbers.
When I contacted the phone company to inform them that I am moving and need my service switched to the new home, they informed me that even though its in St Louis, it is in a differen area code and will not allow me to transfer. Now I HAVE TO keep this number, my business and marketing depends on it.
Is there any way I can get around this?
Can I set up billing to a PO box in the city? Or does if have to be a real adress?
Can I set up a “go phone” and have the numbers switched to that?
I do not want to switch my cell phone number to that number, it is equally as bad.
There has to be a way around it. Please HELP!!!
